Over Vincent..

My name is Vincent Mathot, and I come from the charming small village of Celles. I have been a painter for about ten years. I started with oil painting because I was seeking more meaning in my life and a way to express myself in my own way. That is also why I write poetry. I picked up the brushes and began as a self-taught artist. I quickly organized my first exhibition, which was a complete success! Later, I decided to deepen my technical knowledge with Laurence Burvenich, a teacher at the Édouard Bastin Conservatory in Ciney, as well as Marie-Laure Lonneux.

My style is very expressive, but also suggestive—a subtle blend of figuration and abstraction. I particularly enjoy painting portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. The interest of the public allows me to evolve in my art and further develop my own pictorial language.

I am always very happy to be able to showcase my creations in a special place and receive feedback from the public.

If you are curious and would like a preview of my work, feel free to visit my website: https://vincentmathotpeinture.wordpress.com

I would like to thank the Beauraing Tourist Office in advance for inviting me as a local artist.
