Christine Dheere Exhibition

The Christine Dheere (Ceedee) exhibition will be on show at the Beauraing Tourist Office from June 12 to June 24 2026. The works of this painter will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

Christine Dheere (Ceedee) is a Belgian artist born on October 31, 1949, in Kinshasa. She trained in graphic design at the Sint-Lukas School in Antwerp and also studied ceramics and painting at various academies. A stay in the United States in 1968, marked by her meeting with Elaine and Willem de Kooning, strongly influenced her artistic approach.

Active since the 1970s, she notably took part in the performance Massacre général in Brussels.

After a career in advertising and later in art education until 2006, she devoted herself fully to her personal artistic practice. Her work has been exhibited in Belgium and abroad and has received several awards, including a first prize in sculpture in Heist-op-den-Berg. Today, she explores new materials and tools to translate emotions and impulses into a body of work that is constantly evolving.
