Painting exhibition – Pascale Deneffe

Pascale Deneffe exhibits her paintings from 06 to 19 July in the Tourist Office of Beauraing. It will be possible to come and see them every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. The entrance is free.

Let the Haversin-based artist introduce herself:

“My artistic journey began in 2012 with acrylic painting. Although I come from a family of artists, I was not aware of this passion in me until then. An invitation to a course of a painter made me discover the budding artist that I am. An interest in acrylic painting was born in me. Through this medium, I am looking for a liberation and at the same time a field of exploration. At the same time, I enrolled at the Beaux-Arts, where I worked with clay and discovered enamels. A world bursting with colour which is reflected in my paintings.

Dynamic, passionate, I do not impose any limits on myself in my way of painting, I do not follow the rules of art…. hence my re-belle side. Everything is done in a great spontaneity because my painting is energetic, instinctive, automatic… Making an important place to the gesture, I paint with my fingers, I let go the brush… According to my mood and my feeling of the moment I give life to the canvas by improvising textures, reliefs and colours and thus begins a beautiful almost magical adventure… I progressively inhabit the space, I make it mine, I accentuate, I associate, I explore, I add, I correct, I blur, I wash, I intensify…

I am listening to my painting. I paint from the heart and my painting reaches people in the same way. My painting and my style evolve with the years, letting me be guided by new techniques taught since my beginnings by the eclectic artist Ingrid Devleminck, whom I thank wholeheartedly for having brought me to where I am today…I who did not know this gift in me.”
