Over Monique and Michel Tourneur..

Why not?
Ever since our favourite leisure activity was unveiled, friends and acquaintances have been urging us to take part in an exhibition. So why not… and together. As native Beaurinois, we couldn’t think of a better place to try our hand at it.
Monique, the older sister, is studying decorative art, and has been developing her artistic talents by running art workshops for children, practising pastels and oil painting for several years… This wide-ranging experience has given her a new opportunity to develop her artistic fibre by attending classes at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Namur, Dinant branch.
Michel, the younger brother, teases the pencil by drawing in the notebooks of his pupils in logopaedic rehabilitation. He experimented with water and watercolour pigments as an amateur. Retirement and chance led him to try his hand at oil painting and to take courses at the Ciney branch of the Namur Academy of Fine Arts.
The theme of the exhibition? The elements of nature: water, earth, air and fire.
We invite you to take a journey with us, and share our impressions and emotions of Mother Nature.

For many years now, the Beauraing Tourist Office has been inviting artists from the region to exhibit their work on its premises. It’s a great opportunity for them to showcase their work.
