Michel Van Dam exhibiton

The Michel Van Dam exhibition will be on show at the Beauraing Tourist Office from July 11 to July 23 2025. The works of this painter will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

Over Michel Van Dam..

The spark for drawing comes from my childhood, from the black pencil sketches made by my uncle. The line, that is to say, the movement, comes from my mother’s gestures when she created and freely sketched her dress designs, something that fascinated me.

In my own gestures, I find these two family influences. The inspiration that emerges within me, as it meets the paper or canvas, sets my hand in motion, guides the choice of color… and then offers itself to the emotions of the other—the passerby, the visitor—inviting a meeting of senses and imagination.

For many years now, the Beauraing Tourist Office has been inviting artists from the region to exhibit their work on its premises. It’s a great opportunity for them to showcase their work.
