The Beauraing Tourist Office is committed to sustainable tourism, with the aim of protecting natural resources, supporting the local economy, promoting our cultural heritage and encouraging environmentally friendly ways of discovering the area.
Through our actions and partnerships with Geopark Famenne-Ardenne, the Haute Meuse and Lesse River Contracts, local producers, craftspeople and tourism professionals in the area, we contribute to making Beauraing a sustainable tourist destination in Wallonia.

Our approach is based on a commitment to continuous improvement, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of tourism, increasing its positive benefits for local residents and preserving the local identity that makes Beauraing so special.
Every action counts: soft mobility, responsible consumption, promoting our heritage, raising visitor awareness and supporting local tourism professionals.
Promoting tourism that is accessible to everyone
The Beauraing Tourist Office aims to provide a welcome that is accessible to as many people as possible. We have the Access-i label, which identifies levels of accessibility according to different types of disability.
Our tourist office is equipped with:
- a counter adapted for people with reduced mobility
- an access ramp and easy circulation
- accessible information displays
- a step-free, ground-floor space

Reducing our environmental impact every day
We are implementing concrete measures to reduce our consumption of resources and our enviromental footprint.
- Energy-efficient LED lighting
- Systematically switching off lights and equipment when not in use
- A thermal coffee maker with automatic shut-off
- Using a water filter jug to favour tap water
- Using reusable cups and ECOCUPS
- Occasionally collecting rainwater for watering plants
- Mainly using eco-labelled or natural products
We are aware of the limitations of the building we currently occupy. We are therefore gradually incorporating sustainable development principles into our plans for future improvements.
Reducing waste and encouraging responsible consumption

For our activities and events, we give preference to local producers, craftspeople, artists and businesses.
