Hij is 300 meter lang en de hoogte van de pijlers varieert van 7,47 tot 98,60 meter. Het bestaat uit 15 ronde bogen. Het <strong>kasteel<\/strong>, dat in particulier bezit is, wordt nog steeds bewoond door de afstammelingen van de laatste heren van Esclaye, de de Villers-Masbourg.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Henin+Marc-Andre+et+Jean-Claude+Beroepsver.\/@50.1042501,5.0132667,18z\/data=!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x0:0x0!2zNTDCsDA2JzE1LjIiTiA1wrAwMCc1MS41IkU!3b1!8m2!3d50.104217!4d5.014302!3m4!1s0x47c1c4ebf95ba6a9:0x6d8f051ccbb47d96!8m2!3d50.104838!4d5.014367\">De boerderij<\/a><\/strong>, De boerderij wordt al 4 generaties lang gerund door de familie Henin. Deze melkveehouders produceren ook heerlijke biologische boter en kaas (verkrijgbaar in de winkels in Beauraing).\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8vnGE2otrEc<\/div>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Met haar eenvoudige geometrische vormen is de <strong>kapel <\/strong>van d&#8217;Esclaye in neo-klassieke stijl. De krijger en burggraaf Ladislas de Villers-Masbourg d&#8217;Eclaye liet het gebouw in 1827 optrekken. Hij had deelgenomen aan de Russische veldtocht van Napoleon I en was op miraculeuze wijze aan de dood ontsnapt. Bij zijn terugkeer wilde hij zijn dankbaarheid betuigen aan de Maagd Maria die hem in veiligheid had gebracht. Op het dak staat een achthoekige klokkentoren met daarop een stralende ster, zoals Ladislaus die in India zag.
