The church in Honnay<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This neo-Romanesque building with three naves dates from 1868.\u00a0It is the church of Our Lady.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The chapel of Revogne<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The present chapel (dedicated to St Stephen) dates from 1777. In the bell tower is a bell from 1502 which was originally in the Romanesque church near the feudal castle. This is a rare occurrence as bells were often melted down to make cannons.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Lomprez Gate<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the 10th century, the old fortified castle of Revogne became a provostry and the defence point of the principality of Li\u00e8ge. In 1241, Revogne was a walled town with three gates: the Lomprez gate (the only gate still visible), the Levant gate and the Sunset gate. Following conflicts between the prince-bishop and the people of Li\u00e8ge in the 1450s, the castle was destroyed and the ramparts dismantled. Today, only a hundred metres of ramparts remain around the present castle-farm.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Built from the stones of the old castle, it represents a typical example of 17th century Famenne architecture. This building is on private property.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Notre-Dame grotto<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This Marian grotto was built by the inhabitants in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes to thank her for her benevolent protection.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The old mill<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The old Revogne mill was built in the second half of the 18th century. Made of limestone and bluestone, it has a magnificent arched door. Although the mechanical part has remained intact, the mill has not been in operation since the 1960s. Unfortunately, the mill is not visible from the street.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
