Jacqueline Jacquemart Exhibition

The Jacqueline Jacquemart exhibition will be on show at the Beauraing Tourist Office from May 01 to May 13 2026. The works of this painter will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

Over Jacqueline..

My name is Jacqueline Jacquemart. I am originally from Bohan-sur-Semois, but I have been living in Beauraing for over 40 years. I spent my entire career as a French teacher at INDSC in Beauraing. From a very young age, I have always been drawn to art, drawing, and painting. Since retiring, I have decided to give myself the freedom to create.

For me, art is about expressing emotions and feelings. The brush extends the hand, and the hand is the tool of the soul. However, this requires mastering a certain technique. I began with acrylics and later moved on to oil painting by attending workshops with several artists, such as Laure Anne Delhay and Siob. I then completed several years of training in the art of iconography with two iconographers trained in the Orthodox tradition. To create an icon, the medium used is tempera, a mixture of egg and pigments. Thanks to these talented teachers, I learned discipline, patience, and humility. Over the years, this allowed me to gain confidence and dare to exhibit my work.

The Beauraing Tourist Office hosted my first exhibition in April 2024. I also opened my studio during the Beauraing Bienvenue weekends in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, I exhibited at Dinant Montmartre.

I will be presenting my latest paintings and icons once again at the Beauraing Tourist Office from May 1 to May 13, 2026.
