DESCRIPTION:\nThe Danielle Belle-Josse exhibition will be on show at the Beauraing Tourist Office from 19 to 31/07/2024. The artist’s works will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.\n\n\n\n“YOU CAN KEEP YOUR VOICE QUIET OR HOLD BACK A GESTURE, BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE YOUR EYES”.\n\n\n\nBorn in Carnières (Hainaut – Belgium) in 1940.A self-taught painter, Danielle Belle-Josse has a marked preference for depicting children,because it has to be said that they were her focus of interest during her career as a teacher.\n\n\n\nIn her portraits of children in particular, but also in her depictions of scenesof everyday life, she gives a great deal of importance to the gaze:\n\n\n\n“You can keep your voice quiet or hold back a gesture, but you can’t hide your eyes”.\n\n\n\nShe has won a number of prestigious awards:\n\n\n\n\nMos’art d’or from the town of Yvoir in 2005.\n\n\n\nSecond prize for “Art Balade” in Charleroi in 2004.\n\n\n\nFirst prize “Art Balade” in Charleroi in 2005.\n\n\n\nInternational gold medal and special mention from the jury\n\n\n\nat the “Grand Prix International de Wallonie” in 2005, 2006, 2007.\n\n\n\nInternational gold medal from the “Académie Européenne des Arts”.\n\n\n\nin 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008.\n\n\n\nIn 2009, Grand Prix – Médaille de Vermeil of the “Académie Européenne des Arts”.\n\n\n\n\nMember of the Cercle Arts et Cultures d’Aiseau – PreslesLife member of the “Académie Européenne des Arts”.And Member of the Cultural Association “Beyond Words”.\n\n\n\nFind out more about the artist and her world here: https://www.artmajeur.com/bellejosse#presentation\n\n\n\nCome and discover the Danielle Belle-Josse Exhibition!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor many years now, the Beauraing Tourist Office has been inviting artists from the region to exhibit their work on its premises.
